Determined by wireless networks or GPS
By default, position of the observer is determined by wireless networks or GPS so you need to authorize at least one of them in the Android settings.
This position is sometimes too far from your real position : use bookmarks in this case.
Bookmarks
Once your position have been determined by wireless networks or GPS, you can add it to the bookmarks by clicking on the star.
If the position determined by wireless networks or GPS is not acceptable or if you want to see the displayed informations from a different location, click in the main screen on the location to open the bookmarks screen.
The bookmarks screen allows you to :
- Search for a location by name, update its time zone and add it to bookmarks
- Select a location directly on Google Maps View (long press on the map), update its time zone and add it to bookmarks
- Create a location manually, update its time zone and save it as a bookmark
- Select a bookmark with a short click to go back to the main screen
- Select a bookmark with a long click to :
- Set it as the default location for application
- Edit it to update the name, latitude, longitude or time zone
- Delete it from bookmarks
Once a bookmark is created, do not forget to set it as default location (in the bookmark list or in the settings of application) if you want it to be selected each time you run the application.
The "Google search for locations" service is sometimes not available and you need to restart the device to make it available again.
